David Lindberg

The Basler Fasnacht is the great carnival of Basel, where the unique style of Baseldrumming has developed. It is impossible to count the exact number of drummers involved, but to get an idea it can be mentioned there are between 5.000 and 10.000 active drummers each year!

David Lindberg performs with the group Pulsglopfer. The group inherits from the Spale Clique, but is nowadays organized like a network of dedicated drummers that gathers once a year for the carnival. Among the members are Philipp Rütsche, head of drumming education in the Swiss army, and Oliver Fischer, president of the Swiss Drummers and Fifers Association.
